McNairy County SCD
CRP Sign-up
The McNairy/Chester County Farm Service Agency will be taking applications for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) general sign-up from March 12 thru April 6, 2012.
CRP is a voluntary program that helps agricultural producers use environmentalally sensitive land for conservation benifits. Producers enrolled in CRP plant long-term, resource conserving covers to control soil erosion, improve water and air quality, and develop wildlife habitat. In return, FSA provides participants with rental payments and cost-share assistance. Contract duration is between 10 to 15 years.
Bobwhite Habitat Incentive
TWRA is now offering an incentive payment for practicies in EQIP, WHIP, and CRP that benifit the Bobwhite Quail. Come by your local NRCS office for more information.
